oil pressure

On my 2011 Silverado the oil light don't come on but the gauge reads 0 and I have a P0522 code how us this that the light isn't on to

Welcome and I'd start with hooking up a mechanical gauge to verify the pressure.

as long as the sensor still shows 3 to 5 psi the low oil light does not come on . gm vehicles have been this way for a long time, but your screwed by this time, do a mechanical gauge check as other have suggested

Isn't there a screen that stops up going to the sending unit on these newer trucks? If so, replacing the screen would allow the sending unit to show the correct oil pressure.

My 09 had low oil pressure after spending $ 2700 to replace all the !@#%$^*( afm lifters that GM knew were bad, and redesigned, but would not stand behind. Then, the garbage that went through the oil pump trashed it, and that was another $1800. My last GM vehicle after over 40 years of them. Called customer service. They went after the dealership, when I made it clear it was the lousy GM design they updated in 2010, and said they would not reimburse any of the rebuild. Aluminum trucks look a lot better to me now......
