So after talking with some of my gear head friends I really wanted to do a full blown exhaust overhaul with long tube headers, h-pipe, etc... the whole nine yards! but I apparently cant do that without voiding the warranty on my 2015 Silverado so im looking for any suggestions as to where I should go from here.

pretty much any catback you want won't void the warranty.

I have corsa. Sounds great.

The long tubes will be your biggest issue. Even if you get a set with cats in them, you will have to tune the truck to work with the long tubes, in which if you have an engine failure, the dealer is required to check the ECM for any aftermarket calibrations. They find them, and your powertrain warranty is toast. Then again, nothing should go wrong in 5 years. Its a risk you'd have to be really willing to take.

Catback? Pick your choice. GM has them, both the Borla made ones and a Corsa one now as well, but there are tons of mfg's to choose from. You should have zero warranty issues that route.

What is this GM Corsa you speak of?

you running tips or is yours dumped?

Is you asking me or Fondupot? lol. I have a Corsa on my HD, full catback installed.

It is a GMPP exhaust if you will. Unlike the Borla one, which is made for GM, but is considered an approved 3rd party accessory by GM, so the warranty is by Borla rather than GM. The other system is made by Corsa for GM and GM sells it as their own performance exhaust system and backs it with a GM 12/12 warranty or under your 3/36 if installed by a dealer.

The description for said system, part 23462045 short wheel base (double cab standard box and crew short box):

Upgrade the look, sound and overall performance of your Silverado’s exhaust system with this Performance Exhaust Kit. Equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine, this kit yields real horsepower gains of +10 horsepower1 at 5600 rpm with increased 3-inch diameter piping. It features a direct bolt-on design with no cutting required and is made from 304 Stainless Steel, including a highly polished 4.5-inch exhaust tip. This kit is 50-state emissions legal and maintains the vehicle warranty. The part is warranted by GM. Estimated power based upon SAE test procedure J1349.

and for comparison the description for the GM Borla:

These Cat-Back Exhaust Systems by Borla® provide maximum performance and the right sound enhancements at all RPMs on your Silverado. These systems also feature aggressive styling and T304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Must add Associated Accessories exhaust tips by Borla® purchased separately. GM licensed and Associated Accessories are covered under the accessory specific manufacturer's warranty and are not warranted by GM or its dealers. Call 1-877-462-6752 for more information.GM is not responsible for the safety or quality of independent supplier alterations.

They also do the Colorado exhaust system. How do I know its Corsa? We have a Colorado Trail Boss on our lot. When our GM accessories distributor sent us the parts, the exhaust box had a GM part number tag right on it. There was also a UPS label from TMG Performance Products to the GM accessory distributor. TMG is the parent company of Volant Intakes and Corsa Exhaust. http://www.tmgperformanceproducts.com/index.php

The GMPP (by Corsa) exhaust doesn't have the flapper valve that I can see, and comes with the tip on it. It is a single exit passenger side system. Retails for $1195. The GM Borla is $1249 and the tips are extra.

Thanks that's good to know, about the price of the normal Corsa though. Its been speculated the Volant catback for our trucks is really a Corsa too at lower price point but lower grade stainless, different tip and doesn't have the flex joint. The muffler looks very similar though.

I don't have any experience with Stainless Works for their truck stuff, but my brother has their stuff on his Camaro. Top notch product for sure. I wouldn't hesitate to look at or maybe even purchase if I had a 1/2 ton.

Both really... I really wanted to get away from having tips coming out the back or side just because I like the cleaner look. so I was just wondering how everyone has their set ups and if they notice a difference in sound.
