Help with hid projector retrofit

I am in the middle of an attempted retrofit for my 2014 silverado. I am using a hd harness that connects directly to positive and negative on battery. For positive the battery has multiple posts - 125 or 175A which one do I use? For negative the nut on post is captive and is made not to come off - do I just use chassis ground? Thanks

Either positive post should be okay, both are 12v, I'd go to whatever connects directly to the battery cable though. I'd also use the ground terminal with the captive screw, just cut your ring connector into a U or crimp a U connector onto it

Why would you bolt directly to the battery when under the "cover" (around 21:50 in the video) that is talked about in the video there is a positive distribution bus that is easily bolted to? IIRC there is even an open spare post under it. Directly hooking up to the battery terminal is a bad idea for lights considering that is the first place it is going to corrode.
