Quick Pandora question

Wife has a iphone 6s+, I connected her phone to the truck's bluetooth but Pandora won't work. On her phone it says Pandora is connected to Intellilink but on the Pandora screen it says no bluetooth signal, not the usual "connection error, check connected device". Any ideas? Contacts sync, works under media as bluetooth but not through Pandora.`

I believe for it to work thru the radio you have to have it plugged into the USB port in the center console. You can play it thru the Bluetooth audio but you have to do it on the phone. I have only had my truck for two weeks but I believe that's right.

And I have the same phone as she does and that's how it worked on a trip I took last weekend.

It's a fiddly situation.....and I'm still learning, but I've been able to play Pandora thru Bluetooth. This might sound odd - but - I've had my share of 'weridisms' with this truck & Bluetooth.

LOG OUT of Pandora......then log back in. See if that helps.

When you select your phone as the media - sometimes it defaults to playing the Apple Music player and/or the music stored on your phone or any of the other music apps on your phone. You might need to have Pandora running for it to default to that. I'm not really sure how or what I did.....but now, when I select my phone, it starts playing Pandora as the default (and the app isn't even open).

It might require some sort of 'method' or sequence -of which I just happened to stumble upon.

GOOD LUCK!

I’ve been monkeying with this for months now and I think I figured out the fix. Well not so much a fix, more a user error on our part. The trick is to launch both the app from your phone AND from the Home screen in your truck once the phone is plugged in. When I got the truck all I had to do was plug the phone in and hit the app on the home screen, so somewhere along the way that changed. Don’t know if it was Pandora or GMC, but it changed. And the instructions on Pandora’s site [https://help.pandora.com/customer/portal/articles/190368-pandora-and-gmc] have a step to do both.

So there you go…hope this helps.

Sroufe7 is correct. Apple devices need to be physically plugged in for the Pandora app to connect. Android devices can do it over Bluetooth.

This is not to say the audio can't be streamed over Bluetooth, but none of the additional Pandora features will be available.
