Well, a couple weeks ago I went out and picked myself up a Kriss vector Gen 2 Enhanced Carbine in 9mm. Now, before I get harped on about why would I get the 9mm over the 45ACP, I have a defense. I live in Canada, don't really need it for self defense, just wanted a cool range gun. Ammo is so much cheaper with 9mm as well. I love this gun, its so comfortable to hold, no recoil, easy to keep on target... Love this gun :D

Congrats on the new gun.

I don't think many would be able to tell the difference if they were shot by a 9mm or 45acp, or probably care. They both do the job well If hit correctly.

Just looked it up, interesting. Guessing not much recoil?

VERY little recoil. Comfortable to hold, easy to take down and clean. for the price of it I was worried about buyers remorse but there is none. Though I will admit that after about 100 rounds through it, it will leave a bit of a mark on the shoulder, but ultimately, its barely felt.

With modern day ammunition, there is not much of a difference in terminal velocity between 9mm, .40S&W, .45GAP, or .45ACP. The only popular round that has significantly less terminal velocity are the low end .380 rounds. It's still a good self defense round but it doesn't make sense to go that route because it's more expensive than the other calibers and you can get the exact same size firearms in the larger caliber.

Nothing wrong with the 9mm you bought, it should serve you well. Buy good quality ammunition and you should not have any trouble.
