Pretty sure these are only for 16s as I don't believe ( with the exception of the bow ties, running boards and mats ) would work on anything 15 or older. Or am I wrong?

I am not 100% sure, but I don't see why most if not all of these wouldn't fit on a 2015 or even a 2014 Silverado.

Well the '16s only changed the design of the front end but everything would mount the same. The only thing is that the nudge/bull bar wouldn't really look right with the '14s and '15s because it looks to be designed with the '16 Silverado in mind. So it would go with the '16 but wouldn't look right with the '14 and '15. It should still mount right up though.

The only thing that should specifically be 2016 only would be the Bullbar and bowties. Everything else should fit on a 2014+.

Also as I stated, I see no reason the bullbar won't bolt up to a '14-'15, it's just designed to work better with the styling of the '16. So it should bolt up to '14-'16, it just might not look as good on the '14-'15 as it would on the '16.

Good to know about the bowties, I thought someone said they were a slightly difference size. As far as the bullbar goes, I also recall someone saying that there was an issue with the hook mounts space being slightly different on the 2016's.

I have seen a ton of bowties referenced as 2016 only. Are we sure there wasn't a change for this year ?

Sure but the black bowtie number for the 2014's are 23463799. According to everywhere I have seen the front one will not fit on a 2016.

Do not buy this is if you have a 2016. The rear will work, and the front will not. I need to return the item, but i have already put the rear on. It WILL NOT fit a 2016 Silverado which uses a different front grille and size bowtie than the 2014-2015 for which this front bowtie was designed. As others have commented correct part for a 2016 is #23303572

1500 or 2500 & 3500 2016 Silverado? I saw this Q&A and mistakenly bought the suggested 23303572 Front and Back Kit for the "2016 Silverado". Mine is a 2016 2500 Custom Sport Duramax with the Painted Grill and front bumper....the 23303572 kit contains a front emblem that is not correct for this truck. Back one is right on...makes me wonder if this kit, the 23463799, really does work with all non-1500 2016 Silverados since they are not the new 2016 1500 body style yet? see less

I've seen sites that list them separate too but figured that if it's on a GM parts site with the same # that they should be the same. I know sometimes it's hard to believe one way or the other. I just don't see why GM would have changed the bowtie emblem size, but also wouldn't put it past them since they redesigned the whole front end after only 2 model years of the K2s. Of course Chevy more so than GMC but the GMC did change a little and I see GM also changed the design of the taillights on both. I know on my '14 the grille emblem and rear tailgate emblems are the same size, just have a different angle bend in the middle so I had to make sure I ordered the emblems right when I bought the aluminum black ones that are on it now.

GM part site listings have been known to be wrong occasionally. Even GM's own listing has been wrong on occasion. Case and point, I went in looking for an extra filter for my GM performance CAI that I put in recently to have a spare. Now it is a conical tube type filter. 3 dealerships all said it the number listed was wrong as it showed the flat standard high capacity filter (22845992)for that CAI. GM is still looking for the proper part number for me. It's been 3 weeks and they still can't find the right one.

Just curious, Did the original parts list in the box have the wrong part number listed also or did the CAI not come with instructions/parts list?

      This is just a thought as I can't claim this is the correct thing to do but will suggest it and you can decide if its something you would try. First round up some electrical contact cleaner spray as they at least claim its not supposed to damage the components ( brake cleaner depending on the type is a real destroyer of plastic etc ) and to use that to assist to clean out any grime from the pins as well as the mechanism by spraying and working the lever etc. Then my next thought is to use silicone spray lube and not on the pins but on the seal and the pivot assembly. It may not be possible to spray it on certain area's and have to use a q tip as Davestar mentioned to keep it from getting on the pins. Dielectric grease can be fine on some things but its easy to get too much on if not careful and then gunk things up and a possible risk of getting it on the pins or sockets. The silicone spray is able to get into a mechanical component to help lube and on surfaces its just a fine film to reduce friction such as that seal. Also it can be doused off with a good flush of the electrical contact cleaner the next time for a repeat of a "clean and then lightly lube" step process to wash off any dirt that had stuck to the exterior etc of the plug.   Free advice, yes. Good advice ... now there's the question mark !

      Why don't I have a good scanner? I've always wanted one when I've needed one.   My latest reading says I don't need to do a relearn on the ckp sensor on a 1995 with OBD 1.5. The relearn is prescribed for the later-model 1995's which shipped with actual OBD II when GM completed the transition in prep for the 1996 MY. I need to confirm that. Did you know forums are disappearing? Knuckleheads on Facebook... it's not the same. It's just not.   So, scanners. Again, shooting myself in the foot for having eBayed my Snap On MT2500 "brick" with all the adapters. Not that I couldn't buy another but those are getting quite old, and mine wasn't new enough to work on 2000's vehicles.   Damn it (as I'm scanning my email between paragraphs here). Did you know there's a 2000 Jimmy 2-door on BaT that's ending this morning? It's local. I want it. 14k miles. Absolutely beautiful.   Back to scanners. MT2500's are old. Solus, now that could be a contender. There's a ~2008 Verus with a system error that's basically new in box for cheap. Hmm...I'm not sure about a scanner that runs an archaic version of windows (95 or CE, I can't tell).   I want the ability to reset and rotate TPMS, test individual modules, bleed ABS, electronic parking brake controls for servicing brakes, relearn procedures and other bidirectional controls.   Snap On does an MT2600. It's a new model as of last year, marketed as their "entry" scanner. Entry? Only where $1900 gets you through the doorway plus, I'm guessing, $1000/year if you wish to keep it current. So goes scan tools actually designed for production environments. Want decent products with excellent support, you pay for it.   Everyone is raving about Autels and TopDons and Foxconns and all these newer brands that are selling the $500 "prosumer" scanners for backyard hacks like me. They're tempting...honestly. Updates are cheaper, base prices are remarkably cheaper... And you get to deal with bugs and translation whoopsies and, well, just don't use it on anything expensive, OK? Having a dealer replace an ECU because it needs to be re-imaged after an adventure in scanning is no joke. But I think most people are getting by OK with these units.   eBay on a scratch-and-sniff pro-model oldie, a shiny new TopDon, or???   God dang it, I can't stop looking at this Jimmy. I'm ready! I'll Bring The TRailer! It's beautiful.

      I removed the OE running boards.  It looked so much better.  I wish I took them off a long time ago.     I had to put something back on for my wife.  I wanted Westin Sure Grip Running Boards but they are very pricey, like $600 plus.  I was going to go with the Ionic 41's like I had on the 2019 Silverado but went with Westin Outlaw Drop Steps instead, about $200 cheaper.  They are sturdy and functional but not super crazy about the look, but it works.
