Was this issue ever resolved? Plan on install and have parts sitting in a box. Now I'm nervous. Any good install videos? I wasn't aware I needed to do any cutting for these arms and now regretting my choice. What exactly am I cutting to install these arms? Are there other u bolt arms that I should use instead that don't need cutting?

The cutting required won't hurt anything, as far as i know the only thing you are cutting is the droop bump stop. 2 mins per side.

I have heard conflicting info regarding cutting them. However I did hear you need to cut the service perch which is involved in down travel. What is this? Can I return to stock when I goto sell?

Yes you can return it to stock without the droop bump. 99% of silverado owners don't offroad at all. You could reweld the brackets back in but if you were blowing the truck off, who cares.

Someone was saying trim the upper coilover bucket for clearance but that's not going to do anything and i wouldn't bother. The contact is only going to happen under extreme conditions In all reality you won't have problems on the street or causal off pavement usage.

Do you know what the service perch is? I believe this was added to install instructions for cognito recently.

Not sure what a service perch is but below the upper control arm is a bump stop. It takes less than a minute to cut it out with a sawzall or cutoff wheel

Spoke to cognito and they said to NOT cut off bump stop. .. still need to cut the service perch but couldn't really understand what he was talking about. Anyone got a pick. He said I "shouldn't " have and issue returning to stock come trade in time but since I really don't know much or have any idea what this parts does, I have no idea if this is accurate. Please help. My friend is going to be doing instal soon and will exchange arms if there is a better option.
