Tailgate light bar?

I'm looking at adding a tailgate light bar and was wondering is there someone that makes a splitter for the tail light plug? I don't want to cut wires. I would like to keep the current one where is it to.

Buy this (or something like it).

https://www.amazon.com/CURT-56584-5-Way-Output-T-Connector/dp/B007EA6WQU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1465378383&sr=8-7&keywords=SILVERADO+T+5+TRAILER

It plugs in between your regular trailer connectors. Then if you have backup lights on your light bar buy a bullet connector (single pole trailer plug) connect it to the reverse wire on the led light bar and plug it into the 5th spot on the adapter.

If you don't want to bother with reverse just get teh 4-way version of the same connector.

Then tuck it all up underneath somewhere out of the way.

A splitter wont do you much good if your trailer needs to need to use the 7pin connector as the mud flap that protects it will not open if you have something plugged into the 4-wire

What Light bar are you getting, I had the LedGlow 60 inch for 6 months before it melted, from what I can see none of them are waterproof from the factory (strange as its an external light. I just now got a Redline 60 from OPT7, and while its bright, the wiring harness looks to be 26 gague, which is paper thin and easy to break

Sorry got fat fingers

The splice goes behind the bumper. All of the trailer conections are free and clear on the bumper and all wiring is out of site

My apologies, I am not sure what you are trying to say here. If this was in regard to someone else or another post then please ignore this and accept my apologies.

I have the "T" connector which in effect splits off an additional 5-pin flat (or 4-pin flat if you choose that version) which I posted the link for. I have used them for decades on various vehicles. It allows full functionality of all factory connections 7-pin and 4-pin from the bumper. It creates a "T" that only adds the wires to create the 5-pin or 4-pin flat connector in between the original 7-pin connectors (behind the bumper). It creates an extra 4-pin (in this case 5-pin). If you would like hidden out of sight under the truck with all wires hidden that attach to it.
