How can I contact GM customer service?

I found the truck I want to buy, dealership will not take a non refundable deposit. Says first come first serve. Wants me to spend $1100 for a flight to come up there to see them. Can something be done from GM to help a customer buy the truck he wants?

The dealership is Laura Buick GMC in Illinois

This is bullshit, what dealership won't take a $1000 nonrefundable deposit until a bank wire can be done?

Laura GMC has a good reputation for those buying out of state. Many on this site have bought from them. Strange they're not working with you on giving a deposit to hold the truck. GM won't do anything for you on that matter as GM let's the dealers do the selling part.

This guy's name is Kerry Carnes his cell is (618) 610-8611. Does anyone know another sales person that works there that will sell me the truck I want?

Ross Cherepkai.... Im in North Alabama and went to Laura Buick to buy my truck. Actually its my second truck I bought from them. I think I did a 1000 dollar deposit with no problems.

Ross is a cool guy...a total car guy. He has a couple of bad ass Buick Regals that he races.

Have you tried Everret GMC in Little Rock? Much closer & prices are about the same as Laura. Very easy to buy from over the phone.

Yea, they didn't have what I want

Call and ask to speak to the owner, I wouldn't think they would be too happy to hear they are turning away business like that...

I would ask for the sales manager. I mean they should hold a vehicle until the money is wired, doesn't make much sense.

That doesn't make any sense. Call and ask to speak to the sales manager. I've bought many cars out of state and they never had any problem holding a vehicle for me via credit card. I've done this many times by phone. No issues.

Any sales manager or GM should be able to help you out.

It makes perfect sense, don't spout bullshit opinion if you don't know what you are talking about.

Ummm. What just happened here? He is agreeing and supporting your side and posts.

Yeah, I'm a bit puzzled myself. I'm agreeing with the guy and he goes off on me. Not sure. Welcome to the Internez:-)

TexasRadar - These guys are trying to help you. What's with the attitude?

Just curious - Is the truck at Laura Buick GMC in Illinois a new or used vehicle?

When i worked for GM, there was an advisory sent out that a $100 deposit was sufficient, even for a factory order.

Dealers couldn't refuse to process an offer with a $100 deposit. Put an end to some predatory practices.

But a deposit is just that - non-refundable if you cancel, unless the dealer agrees in writing its refundable.
