mounting rear shocks upside down?

2014 lt 4x4 brought my truck in to get the 5" RC lift put on. Checked the truck afterwards and the rear shocks were installed upside down....I installed my bilstiens on my titan with the can down and rod up and have never seen it done like this before. The shop I brought my truck to seems to know their sh*&, they do a lot of builds. I have read other threads via google and its all mixed answers....s if someone could give me some input that would be great. thanks

Generally you want the shaft down, body up so the body stays well protected from road debris, rocks, etc.

If they are mono tube shocks doesn't matter, make sure have protector on them so rod doesn't get jacked up.
