Travel Link

I have a '15 Sierra SLE that came with the io5 intellilink with 8" screen. I had the io5 to io6 navigation upgrade done. First XM said that i couldn't get the travel link because i was on a promotional plan, then they said my truck wasn't compatable for the travel link. What radio do i need to be able to get travel link? If anyone could shed some light on this it would be appreciated.

There is a thread in here somewhere that covers this situation extensively. In short, you need to get the Sirius and On Star people to recognize your upgrade and then everything will be fine. If you take your time, explain your situation clearly, and are patient they will eventually get your vehicle's records updated. Generally, it takes getting to level 2 in their chain of command before anything can be changed. Again, be patient. They really want to help but sometimes have problems understanding what it is you wish to accomplish.
