Leather Warranty

I have a 2014 Sierra All-Terrain with 40,000 miles on it. I just notices that my driver seat is already tearing up and has a couple of tears in it. Is there anything that GMC will do or am I just screwed? Getting ready to get my wife a new Yukon and this seat already wearing out has me kinda weary. Any advice?

Seats are under the 3yr/36k bumper to bumper. Do you have any kind of GMPP extended warranty on it? Also, I'm not sure on how many miles they go past, but sometimes they may be able to do the out of warranty "goodwill" or customer assistance program, where you pay a percentage based on how many miles out of warranty you are.

You can try. GM may cover a portion of it if you go to your dealer and contact customer service.

Had my seat cover replaced under the 3 yr/36000. My dealer did a good job. Took a week to get the seat cover and took most of the day to replace. No idea on out of pocket costs for this repair. I might go Katskin in a few years.

I just noticed the same problem on my 17' GMC Sierra All Terrain. The drivers seat bottom is tearing on the left side from getting in and out of vehicle. Truck is 16 months old w/ 18K. On my "all terrain" package the outer and inner portions of the seat (looks like carbon fiber design) are cheap pleather/vinyl. Only the centers are leather. I'm worried if the dealer replaces it, it will do the same thing. What crap $58K gets you! Probably have dealer replace then go with the ~$300 Carhartt custom fitted seat covers

I am also in this boat. I have a 2016 all terrain and the carbon fiber panel on the outside of drivers seat is showing several cracks and tears already. I'm contacting my dealer first thing in the morning. I have 35,900 miles on it right now. I did opt for the extended warranty but I'm not sure if this issue would be covered so I need to get in before I hit 36,000. I will let you guys know what my dealer says and does for me. I'd be appreciative of any of you share your experiences as well. I would almost rather them just replace with plain black leather instead of the carbon fiber junk.
