My wife has it in her new VW. It's pretty cool. I know the '16's have it, can it be programmed into the 2015 head unit? Aftermarket lock pic kit? Thanks guys!

$500?

Try $1299, IMO just use apple on the phone for that price, it is not like it adds anything new the phone cannot already do.

MVI was discussed here for the programming. I'm not talking about using OEM parts for the upgrade. Sending it to MVI and having it flashed for the apple car play is around 500 or so.

It's a 2015 he does not have a choice the hardware would be required.

If you have the hardware already don't need to pay MVI a dime dealer will program for free. I think you are confused as to what it takes to add to a 2015.

See post #5 in this thread. New hardware is required on a 15 unfortnately by what is posted here. .. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/184124-vendor-mvi-apple-carplay-android-auto-updates/

Thanks Guys. As always anything is possible for enough money. 1299 for just one feature is a bit much. I just paid 1100 for 22" chrome repro rims!! LOL Today I picked up the phone and said "hey Siri" she picked up and did it verbally. My directions came over the speakers in the truck. My '15 Sierra didn't do that. It would be nice to have it on the screen and maybe steering wheel control, but Like I said cheaper than a new truck but a lot for one feature. I am tired of giving so many upgrades to my vehicles in for free when I trade. They never want to pay a penny for one extra you added to the truck! But thats another story.

My 2015 SLE Sierra has Carplay and Android Auto. The upgrade cost me $600 total through MVI. They sold my old hardware and gave me nearly half the cost back. I absolutely hate the Factory navigation some times. It gives me the worst routes here in OKC almost every time. It always takes you the long routes mostly just main highways, sometimes adding a half an hour or so for no reason and does not give you 3 route choices like google maps on Android auto. The faster processor is also a big difference. No regrets here. This was my first upgrade to my truck.
