Monster House

Well I watched it for the first time last night. (I recorded it) and it is just like Monster Garage except that they take a person's house and convert it. This weeks show they took a families home, one that enjoys racing, drag racing to be exact, and converted the house into a racing fan's dream. Well they did a really good job. Down to making a racing lazyboy chair that actually worked.

I liked the ceiling fans. They ran a couple off of belts between the kitchen, living room and dinning room. The kitchen vent over the stove was constructed out of diamond plate and had headers. They used extention hoses for different things, like you would find in a jiffy lube for different weights of oil they had the hoses for water, air to clean off the stove and one other that now I can't remember what it was.

The master bedroom had air bags on the four corners of the bed and was adjustable. They had a 42 inch plasma TV in the rec room. They also used the black and white checker floor tile in the kitchen. It was a wild set up and the family just loved it. I would to to have gotten all that stuff for free. Oh and they had a car hood that was folded up to the wall but when you wanted to eat it was power and folded down with a plexiglass top to the underside of the hood to eat off of.

Monster Garage was a trip also. Jesse took a hot dog cart and turned it into a quarter mile rail that actually did 139 mph in the 1/4 mile and at the end of the track they all had a fresh hot dog out of the cart. It was fully functional.

They sure can get some talent for these shows. :fume:

I'm gonna build me an airbag bed, except use nitrogen maybe it will hop lol

I'm really considering calling them up and having them do my house, but I doubt they would do another theme that includes automobile stuff

I'm actually pretty pissed about Monster Home. It sounds like they're trying to apply a great idea (Monster Garage) to whatever they think will work. I think the Marketing folks got a little to drunk one night...

Monster Garage is a great show, but its way over produced. I'd love to beat that announcer guy. I turned off Monster Home after 5 minutes because the jack a$$es were getting annoying. Any time you start screaming at the TV "SHUT UP AND START CUTTING ALREADY" its time to change the channel.

IMO.... :fume:
