thoughts on westin nerf bars?

I had the 4 inch circular ones on my ram, but decided for the 3 inch for my Silverado and sierra. The 3 inch nerf bars I've only had since January and they are already beginning to rust. But overall they are very sturdy. What experience does everybody else have with Westin?

Weston isn't a bad product, but the round bars from any company I don't really care for anymore. They can get dented pretty easily. I had 3" wheel to wheel Westons on my '98 and they held up pretty good for that 10 years I owned it. But, the 3" tube bars that was on my buddy's '06 Sierra got dented and one of the pads came off. I've also seen other tube bars dented. I have N-fabs on my '14 and they seem way more sturdy. I've actually banged them against stuff and didn't get dented or anything. The thing is that the tube bars. no matter who makes it will just have a thinner wall. The N-fabs I have seem to have a thicker wall. The only "problem" I've had with the N-fabs is that the plastic plug on the back of one of them came off somehow. I called them up and send me a new one for free with no questions. There's a lot more good bars out there, I just stay away from the thinner wall 3" or 4" tube bars. I like the style that the N-fabs are, have a bar right at the rockers and then have drop down steps.

I dont believe i have seen the n-fabs before. I'll have to look them up. Ideally, i would have LOVED to have the all black OEM Nerf Bars from GM. The rectangle ones

I've seen those too. They look awesome. Asked in the running board threads about em but no response. I wonder if anyone has gotten em. I'd like to see a little more pics of them

If you need any accessories, would love to help. We have couple of toys for you at www.eTruckGear.com and offer honest service ( with 100 % positive Amazon feedback we try hard to be there for the customer)

Stop by and take a look. Tonno Pro is a nice brand to look at. Not that well known but super quality and low price. We are also Weathertech approved, meaning warranty applies as opposed to purchases on Amazon. Don't like Weathertech? We have Westin, Husky or Maxliner. Amp Research, Thule, Warn, Rhino Rack. Will be glad to help.
