MVAC Question

It would seem that the AC "on" is the "default" condition for the HVAC when turning the fan "on".

 

Is there a way to disable this?? Read the owners manual, and couldn't find anything about it.

 

If I want the AC on; I'll press the button myself, I don't need it to be the default setting at all.

Does it always do this or only when you are in defrost mode? With my last truck, and my wife's current car, the AC would automatically come on when in defrost mode. This is designed to clear your windshield faster. I will check my truck but I haven't noticed it always defaulting to AC.
