Well whatever "alpine" area you are from is clearly 1 of a kind bud. Ya GM is the reason I had to source for a lift/level. 1. Building a truck that sat so low it can't get over a freshly mowed lawn without dragging bumpers. 2. Removed payload eh? How so. Do explain. I wish you'd have told me this before I hauled my hunting truck on a 20' trailer 320 miles 1 way. Sure would have helped me. 3. No functionality you say? So being able to gain ground clearance while using the truck daily Offroad and fit an actual mud terrain or all terrain LT tire vs the P rated nonsense that comes on them from the factory Is gaining no functionality in your eyes. 4. You bash the Ridgeline but you bought a truck and then built it into a suburban minus the functioning seating in said suburban. Talk about "functionality". But that's your rig. If you want a big rubber dildo superglued to the front and on top of both mirrors. Hey it's more seating for your buddies. I've run RC, BDS, Rancho, Fox Coilovers and standard PA Body lifts. Depends what your using the truck for. I needed quick and easy height gain. Got it and have had 0 issues thanks, according to you, to "GM".

erm Rough Country is the cheapest aftermarket products hands down. I would not put anything with a RC label even 10 feet near my 50,000 truck, ick!

Perhaps you should buy an RC lift or an RC Winch mount. Try it out and see if you can get it to fail on your truck then comment.... until then you should rename your username on the Forum to Debbie Downer.

I was thinking vs a rename just go to account settings and delete account. Do us all a favor. Go read some of his posts in any other thread. He's a "God" in his eyes. Knows all and does all better than any other!

Back to winch talk. Pulled some dimensions last night really quick like. Planning to pull the bumper after work one evening and do some real work!

Been eyeing the RC mount as I'd like a covert-mount winch as well -- even though I have a K2. Have to wonder exactly how different the front frame is between a GMT900 and a K2xx. I know the front suspension's pretty much the same...what else is shared?

Nothing on RC site that I could find. I'll call them today on my lunch and see what i can get from them. Will update as I know.

Awesome! Let me know what you come up with, as I am ready to get a winch installed behind my Bumper too!

I will bud. If I could figure out the easy way to post pictures I will do that as well. I'm hoping the rc hidden mount will still bolt up in the frame then I can just cut the chrome on the bumper polish the edges and add he fairlead (hawse) for synthetic adding the barrier for sharp edges and be done with it.

I'm going to look into that to. Depends where it can be positioned.

Update: Just talked to the guys over at RC, unfortunately I asked about the 14+ hidden mount, said nothing on the books yet and no chatter about any future products. However I got dimensions of the 7-13 mount. Widest point is at 26.12" for the tray. I will pull a tape later today and confirm. May order that tray and retrofit it then build my skid plate accordingly. Also from fairlead to back of winch tray is roughly 12". Also if no dice 90 day no questions return.

Can anyone confirm if the frame changed from 07-13,14-16 or just the bumpers?

Update 2 : talked to my local dealer friend of mine works in parts. She confirmed that not only the body changed from 13-14 but also slight frame modification. I will go get some numbers on this change at lunch today. Will post the results.

Great topic, like the hidden idea, want to do something , and retain factory look , I'll be following this, oh , I too have a 2.5 RC lift that gets beat on , and has served me well! As for AlpineAzzWipe, I have learned to ignore his useless posts !

Would potentially be interested in your plans or buying a second mount if you decide to go the fab route...

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
