Wheel adapters

All the wheels I really like, only come in a 5 bolt pattern. Has anyone ever ran a 6 lug to 5 lug wheel adapter? I have to believe they are safe, I was just wondering if anyone has used them and if so which brand. Thanks

I have been told not to use a wheel spacer in place of an honest offset by the pros. After seeing pics of these go bad I have to agree. I would think the same applies to such an adapter.

I am also curious why you would need it any wheel manufacturer should have the correct bolt pattern. ie. Fuel, Procomp, Micky Thompson etc typically offer all bolt patterns on all makes. Are you looking at a slammin deal on used wheels or something?

I also thinkinh stepping down number of bolts is a bad idea. They have 6 for a good reason.

No, not a deal or anything. Its just the wheel I want isn't offered in a 6 bolt pattern. I didn't want to run them but I figured I would check other peoples experiences. I'm just not going to settle for a wheel I don't REALLY like. I guess I will continue looking.

Get in touch with Lenny at Motorsport Tech (motorsport-tech.com) and talk with him about adapters. The offer a lifetime warranty on their B.O.R.A. spacers - even if you so much as strip a stud, they will take care of it. Everything is custom made in NV.

Guys run Lenny's stuff on dually's, race cars, heavy off-road -- it is high end.
