Level kit questions

So I have a 2016 cc Lt 4x4 and want to level it. I have searched and searched and can't quite find the answer. What are the different effects of using a top mounted level or bottom mounted? Are the Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks a better way to go? And if they are, will the snap ring that holds the spring be string enough? It just seems a bit small to hold the weight. I would like to have a very small amount of rake for when I tow my trailer. Thanks guys.

Just remove the stock, rear block on top of each leaf spring pack. That will lower the back down an 1" & make the truck look more "level".

Top of strut or bottom of strut makes no difference. They both accomplish the same thing and have the same affect. The bottom spacers are easier to install. Some top spacers require cutting of the stock mounting studs. Plenty of people running the Bilstein 5100 height adjustable shocks with zero issues. The design is fine, but they only provide 1.77" of lift on a Silverado/ Sierra.
