Any luck? Mind started this today.

My dealer fix the issue.  They told me that one screw on the airfilter support bracket was loose and cause this noise vibration.  So the noise was gone.  But right after that I put a tune from Diablew.  No more V4 mode

Is it tru that you have change a few items on your vehicle or it will harm your motor when using the delete.

No parts needed if you use a Range, or a handhled tuner. These just shut off the AFM function, same parts are still in the motor.

If you want to completely delete (remove), you need to swap cam, lifters, and so on.

Agreed.

if its the TCC in the converter causing the vibe, i suggest having a tuner ad more line pressure to the clutch, and correct input/output rpm slip table, then only engage the tcc at 5-6th gears, stock tune has the tcc locking in all gears, this is wearing out the tcc clutch

dont forget to do a Fast Trans re-learn after its set up..

I would love to learn more about doing this.  I've done plenty of my own repairs in the last 30+ years on all of my vehicles - from brakes, to head rebuilds, to complete engine replacement.  But I've always looked at chipping or reprogramming/tuning as just asking for trouble...  How could I get it more right than umpteen teams of engineers and millions of $$$ in research??? Now I'm wondering if this might be a better solution for this particular problem.

I was dealing with this vibration issue myself on a 2016 Yukon XL with less than 70k.  Shuddering at about 1100rpm when in 6th gear going between 35-45mph and AFM in V4.  More subtle at other speeds but pronounced at that speed. Brought it to the dealer back in September '21, they had it for a month and gave it back to me saying there was no problem.  FFS. In fact, none of the problems & issues I described were addressed and they just said - "It's functioning normal."

Less than 4,000 miles later the transmission went out completely.

I decided to bring it to a different dealer where they replaced the tranny under warranty and I just got it back last week.  It's doing the exact same thing but now it's way more pronounced.  That low speed shudder around 40mph is extremely disconcerting.  Brought it in to them this morning and they say there's nothing they can do.  "That's just how it is."

Decided to drive it in "M5 mode" from now on unless I can find another solution.  Previous vehicle to this was an '09 Suburban LT that I drove more or less problem free except for expected wear & tear for 250k which is why I bought the Yukon.  This issue and the company's refusal to adequately address it has me questioning my loyalty to the GM brand.

I have had tons of issues with my Sierra since I have purchased it. I have had vibrations/shift issues from day one and had my truck in the shop 6 times now to always be told what I am experiencing is normal. My issue always comes from switching from V4 to V8 and it is either a slam like shifting up or down into gear or if in V4 and at a constant low speed. The truck acts as if it has shifted up to 6th gear at 35-40mph and vibrates as if it's about to die. My RPM's drop usually below 1,000 and it's just too high of a gear for that range.

My frustration that my dealer just refuses to act like there is anything abnormal with it. It's bad when my passengers ask if my truck is fixing to break down. I took so outside clients from my work out to lunch one day and they were all worried we were going to have mechanical issues. I just don't think that's normal and if it is, why would GM want this for their $40,000+ vehicles? My brother has the same truck as I but a 15' and his is 100% more smooth than mine. The only fix I have found is driving in M5. It's like a whole different truck.

did you ever find a solution? ,,,, my 2018 GMC Sierra is doing exactly what you described

My personal experience with having four K2 trucks. I tuned two of them, and I don't experience any issues with AFM anymore. I also like the fact I can return it to factory settings if something arises in the future and the dealership needs to look at it.   I bought the Hypertech Spectrum hand held tuner for alittle over $200 on sale. It tunes the truck, adjust tire sizes, TQ management can be adjusted.  The main thing it can't do is re-tune the transmission. I'm very happy with it so far
