Service 4wd

I have a 2006 Z71. The service 4wd is on. I have changed the actuator and the selector switch. After each was changed, different days, service 4wd goes off and the lights work on switch and I am able to put in 4wd. After I turn the truck off and restart service 4wd is on and no lights on selector. ADVICE PLEASE!!!

If service 4x4 light is on, you can scan it for codes.

Could be encoder motor ring or TCCM needs reprogram

Scanned and had an emission code only. After scanner was unhooked and truck was started, Service 4wd display was gone and I was able to select 4wd????
