OK, I know this has been covered a thousand times already. However, I like asking a million times and hopefully someone will chime in or provide a link that Google doesn't pop up. New wisdom constantly revises old facts. So, I have a 04 sierra with a lq9 from an escalade. Currently mail order pcm tune just to get it running. I fully understand a retune is needed but will wait and have it dyno tuned at the same time. Once I have long tubes /exhaust in place. I'm seeking full grocery list of parts from a 05+ donor vehicle. I also plan on buying a harness from Nelson's. Believing I need a radiator /haven't verified my current size), the fans, and alternator. Any factory working I'm not sure about. Those of you that have done it using this method and not a aftermarket kit please chime in once more and comment on Throttle response, AC Temps while in traffic, overall engine Temps, fuel efficiency,etc, etc. Thank you for your time.

Find the harness out of the donor car and cut the fan control out of the harness with the fuse box. All plugs and plays. IF the engine harness is still in place remove the connector and pins from the pcm for a seamless install. Im actualizing doing two harnesses today for a 04 denali and one for an 02 silv2500. I will post pics of how I do it later.

Stripped the front light harness off the fan relay and harness. The one two socket plug has the high and low speed fan control that goes to the pcm. I will post more pics later.
