Is 12.5 max output voltage normal to stop my trailer? Tow vehicle 14 Sierra 1500 crew cab. Travel trailer 32' New 6100# dry weight.

If the trailer brakes won't lock up or give sufficient braking when you fully apply the manual lever your brakes might need adjusted....or perhaps they aren't broken in yet if the trailer is new. Be sure to follow the controller set up instructions for proper controller adjustments.

Full strength output is a bit shy of 12V, I believe. It's more about the current draw than the actual voltage as the electric brakes are designed to run off of standard tow vehicle voltage of 12V.
