Suspension Maxx Question/Help

I tried to install 2" of lift using the lower spacer and 2x shims last night... for the life of me, I could not get the lower holes to line up with the 2 shims installed up top. Am I missing something? Ended up just installing the lower spacer for now. I was using a 5ft 2x3 as a breaker bar and could not get enough travel downward, the control arm was bottoming out. It seemed like I would need to do that, then push the lower part of the strut inwards to get the holes to line up. Was a little hesitant to force it, didn't want to eff anything up.

I did mine without disconnecting the sway by bar. I just raised the entire front end till the tires dangled. It slipped in and out.

That's an option too...if have what you need at home to do so.

You're right. I used a floor jack,6x6, and jack stand.

Yeah, I had it on the floor jack with jack stands... wheels off, suspension hanging free. I could get the strut assembly in and out no problems, just when I put the top 2 spacers in, it shifted the lower strut mounting holes outward and I couldn't get them to line up. But without the top shims, I could get the lower spacer in... just at a loss.

Guess you need to release the sways. I wonder if the top shims were taking up all the wiggle room. Sorry for giving you incorrect info sir. Was just my experience.
