Steering column rubbing against 1 7/8 longtube headers

Hey guys just put on some pacesetter 1 7/8 ceramic long tubes on my truck and they sound badass. After the little kid in me settled down and stopped stepping on it so much, I noticed that every time I turned right my steering wheel felt a little weird and hard to turn all they way. I peaked under the hood while someone turned the wheel and I noticed when turning right as the steering column is turning it is also shifting to the right a few centimeters until it eventually rubs against the driver side header.

Has anyone else that has longtubes experienced this? If so, what have y'all done to fix this? I took some pics and grabbed a quick video that I'll try to post here in a minute. I know these are bigger than the stock manifolds but I didn't think they'd be big enough to cause issues, fitment is great other than this and for the price they're not bad. Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

Take a hammer and make room. You won't notice a little dent in the header. It likely only needs a 1/2 clearence.

+1 on this... Unless your truck is a show truck which (no offense) I doubt it is because you have pacesetter headers, I would just use a ball peen hammer and make some room. Your other three options are to order new headers, cut those up and re-shape the pipe or put your stock manifolds on.

Should contact pacesetter or send them back where you got them.. I have the same headers with no issue

I had a set of pacesetters laid next to my American Racing Headers and the routing look way different. The shop that installed mine said that they always have to beat the pacesetters into place and my ARH were the easiest install that they have ever done. Cleared the sterring and everything on a 2014 silverado 4x4......

You get what you pay for.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'm just gonna take a hammer to them and make a small dent. It's too late to order other headers anyway, if it was a show truck or a race truck I'd be a little more concerned about it, but I just needed a little more power to move these big 35s around.

After work I'll be fixing this and going to get tuned then the mod bug should be under control for now ??
