Anyway, the point of this post was that the OP liked the Ram as his loaner.

I buy lots of cars from all different companies.

My brand new Sierra 4x4 with the 6.2 is my first new GM truck.

So far I like it, but hey I only have 30 miles on the odometer. LOL

They do need to catch up to 2010 however and put keyless entry on them as well as push button start.

Rear seat a/c vents should be an automatic too.

I'm sure both of these will be placed on the 2019 models but again, it should of been done on the 2014 remodel.

Those weren't enough of a negative however to draw me away from wanting the big V8 and the looks of the GMC which are awesome.

They do need to update that in the 2019s for sure. I had a 95 Dodge intrepid before my 2500 Chevy.

Not a big fan of the push button where the vehicle recognizes you're in it. Heard about people being dropped off that had the key and the person just driving off. Also I was ina parking garage about a month or so ago and a brand new Cadi started to roll back out of the spot with nobody in it and the engine running. Luckily it didn't hit anything and I wasn't able to even move it back into the spot for them since the key was too far away from it. Any "cool" feature that's isn't a must will have it's own problems.

To some degree you are correct.

However all my last 6-8 cars/trucks have had the push button starts.

If you walk out of the car with the key, they all start beeping and chiming at you inside and a couple honk the horn to let you know.

So to drive off without the key you'd have to be a complete moron. But to that extent, I do feel they should have in place a safety net for those morons that won't allow you to shift the car out of park if the key leaves the inside of the car while it's running. Or if it's in Drive and a passenger has the key and steps out, it won't let you go move forward at all.

It's a nice touch to be able to leave the key in your pocket though and not have a key fob AND a big key like the GM trucks have.

Feel I'm back to the days of being poked in the leg by having a big key in my pocket, which is annoying.

But one plus to having a key, is it's in your hand when you turn off the vehicle so you know where it is, as often with the key fob you can set it down in the cupholder or wherever and then leave the car and realize you didn't lock it and have to climb back in to grab the key.

So yes there is pluses and minuses to either way.
