Can anyone confirm that has these if the underside of them after folded in is covered by a type of metal or whatever that's painted?

 

I am going to spray my rocker pannels with bullet liner and if I'm going to do this I might as well spray the bottoms of the steps unless it's plastic then I don't care lol
