Why wouldn't he clean it? Seems like the right thing to do if he wants to sell it.

At 3600 miles, he wasn't nearly at the recommended cleaning interval and the re-oiling/over-oiling of the media is a frequently reported problem. I was just wondering. It struck me as an unnecessary step and potentially increases risk.

Are u sure the part numbers is 33-2430 and not 33-2439? The part number u referenced is for an accord. Lol.
