Suspension Upgrades

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I just wanted to post a resource for people to be able to search what suspensions look like. Here's a picture of my truck as it's been lifted. I started with stock, moved to a 3" Leveling lift, then to a 4.5" Zone Suspension lift with Nitro shocks!

My only advice which I should have taken from the beginning since over heard it over and over:

"Do it right the first time. Buy once, cry once :)"

Just want to put this out there, when you got your lift did you happen to notice your front wheels were pushed out a little bit and your back wheels pulled in?

Yes, this does normally happen with 4-9" lifts. Wheels spacers or different backspacing with aftermarket wheels should fix this.

Did you have some bad popping noises/UCAs from leveling @ 3"?

Ah I can't believe I didn't post in there I'll fix that :)

I had no idea that happened with lifts, either way I think it makes my truck look more aggressive so I'm all for it but I'm thinking of getting spacers for the back so it brings the wheels out to be the same. Shouldn't be too expensive right?

I didn't notice any UA popping or anything, it actually worked just fine. That being said I learned about all the damage I was causing and how much it was going be to fix all that damage in a couple years when it gets bad and it was going to be the same amount as just getting the lift now! So I decided to just bite the bullet and dodge any future problems.

I did notice the the 3" drive extremely stiff with turning and such but the 4.5 drives better than stock!

BORA 1.5-1.75" spacers are usually around $200 for all 4, if that gives you a good price range. Look for hub centric.

Well at least you went with a BDS/Zone style lift! Quality matters!

I completely agree with you on the quality! I'd only want to bring the back out to meet the front evenly :)
