Lift/Levelling Kit & Tires - New owner needs advice

Hi,

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali 4x2 6.2L on order... I've been reading and researching on these forums, and there is a LOT of info to digest. I want to update the look of my trucck slightly to make it a little more aggressive, but not too much. I also need to be able to fit in a 6'6" parking garage at work. So far, this is what I have figured out.

First, I need a lift of leveling kit specifically designed to work with the Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) on the Denali version of my truck. I have found two products

1) SuspensionMaxx MAXXStak 1.5"/2"/2.25"/2.5" Adjustable Front Leveling Kit Magnetic Ride and corresponding rear blocks

https://www.suspensionmaxx.com/store/search/find-my-truck?make=GMC&model=Sierra||Denali%201500&year=2016

2) RC 2.5IN GMC Leveling Lift Kir (14-17 1500 DENALI PU W/MAGNERIDE)

http://www.roughcountry.com/gmc-leveling-lift-kit-1314c.html

However, I have no idea which of these is better, and if there are other better alternatives out there. Advice would be much appreciated. I also want to confirm neither of these will cause a warranty issue (I can't imagine they would as they can be easily removed)

Second, I need to figure out wheels and tires...

1) Should I go with the stock 20" rims (either chrome or aluminum) or upgrade to the 22's? By not upgrading, I can save myself $2,995 which could be put towards new tires for the 20's. It seems that the bigger sidewalls with the 20" wheels is the preferred look with a lift also. Any recommendations of 20's vs 22's would be appreciated. If there is an aftermarket wheel that works better, I'm open to that too.

2) How big can I go on the tires... Lots of opinions on this, but the general consensus seems to be that 275/60/20 is a VERY safe option, along with 295/55/20. I'd welcome thoughts on this. I absolutely do not want any kid of rubbing or have to do any kind of trimming. I want to be able to drive my truck like a truck and not worry about the tire smashing through the wheel well :) Some people say you can do 305's, but that seems like it would cause an issue.

Again, thanks everyone for your help. This is my very first truck - I've driven BMW's up to this point and am coming from a 2014 X5. This will be a big change, but an exciting one!

I personally can't help you out with the MRC part - I've heard they are limited on what can actually level with this.

DITCH THE 22's.

I have 18s - I prefer more tire with less wheel. 20s would definitely be better than 22s. If you do any off-roading and you want to keep your wheels from getting any rash/marks on them, I'd DEFINITELY go with a 18 inch or 17 inch wheel. I had 20" polished aluminum on a 14' Silverado, and the first trip on the gravel trail/brush for hunting, they got all tore up.

With a level you could easily fit 33-34" tires. 275/60/20 (33") can be installed without a level. Should be able to get around/close to a 285/65/20 (34.5") at max with a level.

Some do 295/305 with trimming/wheel spacers. I believe wider tires rub the sway bar with stock tire offsets. Now if you got aftermarket wheels, the back spacing could commend wider tires easier.

I ran 275/75r18's when I only had a level, and they filled out the wheel well great. No rubbing either. Not too sure what that would correlate to with 20's or 22's but they looked good

I'd go to a 18 inch rim for sure more side wall with a lift always looks nicer. And level wise haven't played with them features yet to give any advice. Sorry.
