I have a 2014 silverado, I bought new. I have been watching videos about using oil catch can separators, if that a gimmick or is it something I should buy and install?

New to this forum but there is a lot of talk about catch cans on the 5th gen camaro forum. I personally think they are a lot of hype but some swear by them. There was one guy that lost oil pressure ruining his motor and GM somehow blamed the catch can voiding his warranty. Last I read he was contacting a lawyer

  That's the proper range for the gas 10 speed with the thermostat still in the valve body. 3.0 Duramax runs different temp.

  Hey everyone, I just wanted to keep you updated on AMSOIL's oil filters. Their filters will be back in stock shortly and some already are so you will have to check to see if the ones you use are. Most will be back in stock the first week of August. Mainly I know most on here probably use the EaO17, that one is supposed to be in stock the first week in August. But be aware that once it is, it might be out of stock shortly after since there will be a rush of orders getting in. AMSOIL has found a new manufacturer and has been working with them on making their filters and been going through quality control for a while to make sure the filters are up to AMSOIL's standards.   Mine runs 145 to 158 ,95% of the time. ‘25 1500 with 5.3 and nht option. Wonder how long it will last? Wonder how much water is in the oil? Bought it in Oct 2024. This was today in south Louisiana.
