Can't shift from park

Just started earlier today, but when I got to shift into reverse or drive, the gear selector will not move. Any suggestions to where I should my search? It's a 2011 GMC 2500HD 6.0L 4x4. Any suggestions will be helpful thanks

Probably has something to do with that stupid brake/shift interlock that all these new vehicles have now. Some part of it more than likely failed. Isn't the first I've heard of it, but I've never personally fixed one.

I'm not parked on a hill.

 

It's weird because once it shifts out of park, it does fine. Then sometimes it sticks after you put it in park
