Tranny problems

I'm new to this forum and I just got a GMC and it's really rough cosmetically but one thing is when I go down the highway at like 75 it shakes really bad and I thought it was an alignment issue but I read it could be other things also. Any thoughts?

Could be a number of things...alignment, tires (tires separating, need to be balanced, flat spots from sitting, etc), u-joints, driveshaft, brake rotor, axle

Best bet is to take it in and let them get it up on a rack to look things over, it could be something simple like an out of balance wheel, or it could be a combination of things.

Alignment being out of adjustment will NOT cause a shake or vibration. Bad tires (separating tread or belts, flat spotted, out of round, abnormal wear pattern, or knots) , tires out of balance, bent wheel, drive shaft bent, real bad u-joints, and or swing bearing
