No power after slowing down and vibration-14 Sierra 5.3

Hey Guys,

Looking to see if this issue is experienced by anyone else. I have a 2014 Sierra CC SLE Z71 and when I slow down to turn or after another car turns, I hit the gas and there is nothing, Like the engine died. I keep pressing harder and harder until it downshifts and everyone in the trucks heads fly back. Then my wife yells that I'm driving like an a$$hole. It literally is driving me crazy. It's been going on for a while and I have just been procrastinating on getting it looked at. I do have the highway vibration as well along with the occasional tranny clunk and "which gear should I shift into" issue.

I thumbed around the forum and didn't see anything that stuck out like this so just seeing if anyone has had this fixed or if there is even a fix. I am not here to complain but I see a lot of these trucks on the road and I would think this is not just me.

Thanks in advance for any insight

Dave

Sounds like "dead pedal".

I just posted this morning, I seem to have no throttle response at low RPM, lugging around in town in the higher gears -- I cant increase speed with the pedal, push, push, push then it pops down some gears

Hard Break to stop then go right away.

No Power my 2014 did it my 2016 does it.

Welcome to "stability control" they have some sort of lag built into it.

Your seat belts are still locked into place as well have you noticed that.

Even If I slow down fast from highway speed on a ramp and get back on it same thing.

My Traverses did the same thing just not as bad as the Truck does.

I have the SAME exact problem. I have my 2nd appt to go in and discuss the various problems with my truck. The first appt. I was completely thrown off due to "weather" problems. My dealer is garbage btw I just cant let them get away with this after I wrote them a check.

Customer care is not something of importance to GM, still selling trucks to this day that have had the same shake/vibration for 3+ years without a corrective action.

Have you considered using 89 octane gas?

Mine was the same exact way. On my way to work, I drive an inclined left hand turned intersection. Gets me every.single.morning. So much so, that I actually lean forward because of the deceleration (even with accelerator depressed).
Started using higher octane gas earlier this summer and I don't have this issue any longer.

It's hard to explain, but since I can test it consistently, I feel quite confident that there's some slight engine knocking going on.

Just my 2¢

Exactly what this guy said. GM doesn't care about its customers. I know first hand after visiting 4 different dealerships and getting no help.

Using higher octane gas has helped with mine as well. What made me think about it was the older high performance engines in mustangs and such that required premium fuels it not you would get pinging or knock which resulted in poor response and power loss.
