Heated seats

I am firmly convinced that GM uses crap parts for the 2014 Silverado High Country seat heaters. Used mine about 10 times and they (both sides) burned out! Total crap!!!

Really? Thats disappointing to hear, I'll have to keep an eye on mine this being its first winter of use however temps around here have been below freezing for well over a month and I have used the seat heaters every time I start the truck 2X a day for the past 2 months and so far they have performed without a hitch.

 

Perhaps it was an issue on the earlier 14 M/Y trucks? Hopefully this isn't a widespread issue.

Great news! If you only used heated seats about 10 times in the last 3 years, you won't miss it.

My early 14 Sierra All terrain's heated seats worked great for the 3 years i had it. (it was an early build too...10/13)

I have a 2004 gmc 2500hd have had trouble with heated seats especially drivers but just recently put a sound to the lights of the heated seats, near brake petal have always heard a click click sound and just noticed when it clicks the drivers heated seat buttons flash at same time, have any suggestions cause it sounds under dash not seat?

the 'click' is probably just a relay for the heated seat turning on and off.
