Capless fuel delete

Darn. I have a standard bed. I wonder if it's the same. I would think they would be if the tanks are the same size. Also I don't think they need the whole thing changed. I would think it would just be the tops that would have to be changed.

I sent you a pm. What I found on mine that I think may be across all models is just a standard "top piece" with different lengths hoses to connect the top piece to the tank. If you take out the two torque screws on the top and the one plastic "push thing" on the bottom you can see what I'm talking about.

Only if I was living only on streets and highways. For those of us that actually use our pickups like as shown on TV commercials, a capless system is just about the most stupid thing to come out of automotive R&D yet. I have to drive several miles of dusty gravel roads just to get to or from the highway to my house. The tank filler area already collects a lot of dirt. Can only imagine what would get in the tank with a capless system. Problem is, this goofy nonsense will get foisted onto the rest of us to our detriment. Seems pretty clear that my 2015 will be the last pickup I ever buy if this kind of thing becomes commonplace.
