Is it like a "rasp" noise for just a second upon startup up?

 

If so GM says that's normal; it's air that had entered the oil pump from normal drain back.

 

They say that's normal, and won't hurt anything, but we shall see in the long run if people start having oil pump isues, hopefully all will be fine, fingers crossed.

Welcome! The suggestions here are useful but what did your dealer say? You just bought a "certified" vehicle and there should be some sort of guarantee/warranty.
