Need Help Protecting my Paint after lift!

About 9 months ago I installed a BDS 4 inch lift and Toyo 33/12.5 tires. As many of you know, the lift pushes the tires out (up front), and obviously the paint on these newer trucks chips very easily. I almost purchased the bushwacker pocket flares when I put on the lift, but I'm not a huge fan of the look, so I didn't do it. Now I'm noticing a bunch of paint chips every time I take my truck off road, which requires a plethora of touch-up paint. Do I have any choice other than fender flares? I've considered the OE bushwackers, because I like the subtlety of the look, but I'm not sure how much protection they would give. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Maybe a different offset of wheels to push the tires back under the truck??? That's really the only other option I know of, unless you want to wrap your truck in clear 3M.

What you need is simple. You need some paint protection film. You can have a shop do it or if you're familiar with it and/or confident enough to diy it all you need to do is apply to your rockers i.e. Bottom of the doors to the molding strip. Not expensive and if done right virtually invisible. And like Silver 5.3 said, get the 3m scotchguard clear gloss protection film. Tho I must say line x does have a new product called ultra that looks pretty bitchin color matched. It has a thinner application, lower texture and higher gloss.

Color matched Line X on your rockers is another option.

Yes it is, I saw and handled a truck that just had that done while I was picking up my truck from having the silent rider undercoating and rust preventative installed and if I went off road all the time I would have that installed on my truck while it was there.

Line-X matched the color great, but you could see the texture difference while you approached the truck.

Line-x did the inner lip of the fender wells front and back, outside on the fender flares 1” to 1 1/2” up on the fenders, bottom of the rocker panels, top of the rocker panels where it appeared to go under the door seal and kick panel, along the bottom of the bed from cab to bumper looked about 5” to 6” high from the bottom of the bed. Oh and they completely coated the guys front and rear custom bumpers he had them install.

The line-X on the body and bumpers had some rough texture to it but it was nowhere near as coarse as the bed liners are.

Thanks for the replies. I thought about doing the 3M protection film. I think I've got so many chips and touch up jobs that it's too late for that option. Line-X sounds like a decent idea; however, I'm getting a lot of paint chips that would not otherwise be covered by the line-x. In fact, most of the chips are 1/2 up or more on the body. I may just have to go completely practical and get some duraflaps.
