so im currently changing a 92 gmc 3500 that had a 6.2 in it into a daily driver with a 454 in it and i have a few questions.

1. what manual transmission did these trucks come with

2. what size are the fittings for the stock oil cooler

3. i need a 17in throttle cable instead of the 30 in that i currently have and the local parts store are not showing a 17 in and i can not find one online anyone know where to get one

the manual transmission is nv4500.

pricy if to find one.

I found a whole diesel 6.5 (1998 1 ton) with manual, running good for 1500... was thinking of just the nv4500.

even the nv3500 seems to be going the other direction in price.

I think the naysayers finally figured out all v8 versions are "HD"

I am on my way to 500k freakishly perfect miles.

anyway..

the cable should be trivial.

go to rockauto or something, they always list details of a part..and then you can find that length someplace.

don't spend too much.
