Needing suspension advice for a 2011 Silverado 2500hd

I just bought a 2011 Silverado 2500hd and I have to do something about how rough it rides. I understand hd's will ride more rough, but this truck is ridiculous. The front end feels like it has zero shocks.

I dont know alot about shocks, Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what might be best to give my truck some relief? Ive heard torsion bar adjustment, new shocks, new suspension kits.... Im trying to learn a little bit before i allow a body shop to take advantage of me.

thanks guys.

Check to see if the torsion bars are over-cranked, that could be the culprit

If the Front end looks "level" with the rear, yo'ull need to crank down the jacking bolts that put pressure on the front Torsion bars, maybe as much as 5 turns. The truck is NOT made to sit level, it affects the steering, ride, tire wear and Load capacity. Sadly many think "stance" is everything, but it comes at a high price, especially on a 3/4 ton truck. If the Ford sitting next to me at a stop light sits higher in the front, who really cares?

thanks guys,

yes my truck definitely sits level. the front end is just high as the rear, if not higher.

So cranking the torsion bars down a bit might help?

I really appreciate you guys thoughts.

Thank you Jimmyboy.

My previous truck was a 1998 4x4 dodge dakota.

My silverado has over 100,000 miles

ya torsion bars will do it just like they said there is so much angle on the front axles it puts stress on them and will cause it.
