just bought a 2006 silverado 1500 crew cab 4x4 with a 5.3 and 4l60e, the service 4wd light is on and so is the service airbag light, just put a new transfer case shift motor in and checked the push button 4x4 switch and transfer case module, that is not the problem, the truck shifted fine when i test drove it and on the way home but when i went to drive it a couple hours later it started having a delayed shift from 1-2 and when under wot it just revs, checked a few fuses and started noticing the voltage is low, anywhere from 10 to 12.5 volts, could this all be related to an electrical problem? any ideas would help the shop i am working with hasn't looked too far into it but are guessing it is the transmission, i am not 100% convinced that is the problem considering it was fine when i test drove it

Resolve your voltage problem first, this can screw up a lot of sensors. Clean your grounds and battery terminals including the fusible link. Maybe re-seat a few connectors like TCM and BCM. Then watch her purrrrr.

well i went to my buddys shop today and used one his techs dvom and found that my voltage is not low but my $400 doom is reading incorrectly so there went the low voltage idea... i am taking it in in the next couple days when they free up some time and letting them figure it out...thanks for the input and help

Sounds like it might need a transmission rebuild. With a couple youtube videos and some parts from ebay you could probably fix it.

If you live in the winter & salt belt, the airbag sensors could have failed. I replace mine a year or two ago. The originals appeared that they had somehow got moisture in them, which caused them to rust & freeze and fail.

I ended up replacing them both. I used the Dorman replacements, which I bought off either Amazon or Rock Auto. Be aware that there is a special procedure to replace them, so you don't accidently set them off.

Can't help with the transmission/4wd issues......
