Mystery Noise

I've noticed ever since getting my 2015 Silverado 1500 that there seems to be a noise coming from the drivers side air vent area (far left vent). It's not necessarily coming from the vent itself, but that area. It sounds like a liquid moving through tubes or pipes or something. It's not very loud so I don't think I could provide a sound clip but I notice it when I'm stopped at a light or something.

Any thoughts what it may be? Doesn't sound concerning to me it's more out of curiosity.

Thanks :)

better check to see if the antenna on the roof is leaking water, it is a common problem

Hope not! The sound doesn't necessarily happen when it's raining, so I'm thinking it might be something else. I'd also probably have a wet headliner if it was the antenna.

Did you ever find out what this was? I have a '17 Denali doing the same thing.. Only when the ac is in... Sounds like a fan tick. I'll have dealer look at it during first service.

No I didn't. It didn't bother me enough lol. There was also a high frequency noise that could be heard when shifting into 4x4 but that was normal and reported by several users. That sound came from the same general area as my original post.

condensate drain is on the passenger side of the truck. if you have a sunroof it could be water built up in those drain tubes not fully draining
