Low deep grinding noise sounds like it's coming from the rear gets louder when I slow down

I'm sorry I don't not much about cars or trucks what should I check and how would I check it. I would just take it to a shop but all the ones around where I live want a lot of money just to look at it

Probably gonna have to pull axles and rear cover to inspect the gears.
