Bought a commuter & glad it's a Chevy!

So I needed a commuter for work so I started researching GM used cars and picked out the one that got the best all around mileage. So I snagged up a Certified used 2015 Chevy Cruze 2.0 Turbo Diesel. It is not the most exciting car purchase I have ever made but I am looking forward to it paying for itself. I averaged 55.8 MPGs driving home from Denver over a 160 mile trip, and it held 6th gear over every mountain pass. Can't complain about that! Here are some pics.

that is interesting.

I was given a rabbit diesel.. 50hp, to drive wherever I wanted.

a 1980 rabbit in the early 90s was already a pile of bent vibrating tin. A dog chain held the hood.

I wondered what america would do on the same thoughts of drivetrain...

more than it thinks it can, it really must work nice. I'd try one.

I'd actually go the little duramax pickup, canyon and that inferior chevy version . :)

Nice! I joined cruzetalk.com before I bought it to get some insight on which way to go on my purchase of diesel or gas. Right now I'm glad I went diesel. I just need a lightweight exhaust system after my warranty is up. Also I averaged 55.8 MPGs on my drive home from Denver, it was a 160 mile trip.

Well the certified part doesn't mean anything, but congrats on the car!

Just a little extra warranty is all. The inspection BS is a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

All the CPOs I've bought, GM and Hyundai have been just like new car warranties. Just had work done on a 7year old Genesis, 800$ repair cost me the 100$ deductible.
