2006 2500hd transmission issue

I have a 2006 Silverado 2500 hd with the 6.0 and 4l80e transmission. Last week out of the blue while I was driving I noticed it was shifting hard then I noticed it didn't look like it was locking up in overdrive. So I did some research and scanned the codes (even tho there wasn't a engine light) and the code said it was the tcc solenoid. Just replaced that today along with the fluids and filter. Took it down the road and the same problem. Shifts just fine up until I get about 50 or so and slow back down then shift again and it's hard shifts. So I think it's the torque converter because the truck does have 230000 miles on it and everything is original so it wouldn't surprise me. Question is does anybody think it's a good idea to try and run a manual lock up switch or just bite the bullet and replace the converter? One thing I should mention is that the fluid that came out of the transmission looks really good no metal or any thing. Is there any relays or fuses that go to that solenoid cause i couldn't find any? Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot

So is this problem happening by the time the transmission is warm or does it do this regardless of trans temperature? Reason I ask is because it may shift okay when it's cold, but when it warms up you could have a seal that's losing pressure causing these harsh shifts. Is it harsh in every gear , whether it's a downshift or up shift?
