Question for someone running a procharger setup.

Are y'all daily driving these trucks with over 500hp to the wheels? What about towing? I occasionally tow a skid steer. I know something like a whipple would be better for towing, but I care more about speed and it does fine right now towing without forced induction.

You, and I are in the same boat so to speak. I'm leaning procharger, but I'd really like to get 200,000 miles without replacing an engine, or transmission. My 6.2l is fine now, but I want more. I don't race, and I don't care too.

Run a roots style if you are wanting to tow things. My truck is way more likely to be towed before it tows anything, I don't even use 1st gear anymore, once it shifts out of first it won't shift back into 1st until it goes to park or reverse.

See I tow a 9600lb trailer about 15-20 times a year about 50 miles a trip which had me leaning roots at first. But my 6.2l is a max tow, and does so well stock (7th gear 1800 rpm @60 mph towing usually) that the benefits of the roots were negated, in my humble newbie opinion, by the flexibility, and mid range power the procharger would give. I can't wait to get the procharger installed!
