2014 Silverado Z71 2WD - Lift Questions

Hey all. New to the forum and looking for some good info. Currently own a 2014 Silverado Z71 2WD and it has the Rough Country (RC) 2.5" lift/level on it. I like the look...but I can't help but want more. The original plan was to go with a Zone 6.5" lift, 4.10 gears, 35x12.50, new rims, etc...the whole shabang. But, sadly, I'm trying to be a grown up for once and prioritize some things for the house and keep the savings up.

I'm now looking at the RC 3.5" lift (http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-198-284c.html), keeping my stock Z71 18" rims, keeping stock 3.42 gears, getting some 33x12.50 Toyo R/Ts, and maybe some 1-2" wheel spacers (either Rough Country brand or BORA). I tow a 24 foot boat at least once/month and use the truck as my daily driver (~25K miles/year highway).

Questions:

- Thoughts on the RC 3.5" lift for the extra lift in the front?

- I did the 2.5" lift myself...is the 3.5" lift just as simple?

- Any experience with the Toyo R/Ts?

- I know nothing about wheel spacers other than what they are and their purpose...any concerns?

- Rough Country or BORA wheel spacers?

Would really appreciate the help. Also, if anyone has pictures of a similar setup, post 'em! :)

Yes, up until 2016. 4x2 Z71's have always been a thing. Kind of a bummer when they got rid of them in 2016.

Check out lift spindles. I have 3" Maxtrac spindles with some Fox shocks for 5" of lift. Pretty simple lift for 2wd.

You could keep your current leveling kit too.

You would probably have to run spacers to clear the spindles with the 18" wheels, not sure though.

Just installed some king coils and I want some more lift out of them so I'm thinking a spindle is in order. So you just have you coils all the way down for a 2" lift and then the spindle gives you an extra 3" of lift?

Yep, whatever size spindle ya get, you'll get that much more lift. Keeps your stock geometry too. Maxtrac sells a 3" and 4.5". If you plan on off-roading much, I'd look into some CST spindles, much beefier than Maxtrac.

You do have a 2 wheel drive?
