2017 Colorado Side Steps

Question

Posted

Hi, I just bought the colorado side steps (OEM) and the package came today, but without any instructions on how to install. Plus there is not any hardware included, which I found strange. I contacted the person who sold them to me, but they have not gotten back. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I bought them from a GM dealer online. They forgot the hardware, but still no instructions.

Well you really wont need instructions, there are pre-set spots under the rocker panels to mount to. Pretty easy.

Hardware should be in the styrafoam unless they re-packaged them. Its usually hiding in a compartment.

Instructions are on GM Service Information, which a dealer would print out for a customer.

Just my opinion, but it pays to buy things from a brick and mortar dealer sometimes, especially if they are willing to help on price to earn your sale. That way issues are quickly resolved. And you would have had instructions.

Mine came with the Denali package and installed by the dealer. If you cannot find the instructions (which as stated above are quite easy) I'm sure my parts man can provide them to me. Brackets etc. are more important to get anyway....besides "we are guys and don't need no stinkin directions".
