these pics are just examples i want to remove the amber under the headlight

I'd say so. This is from the instructions tab on the link:

Simply plug our harness inline with new headlight and original headlight connector.

Mount load resistors to the core support. Load resistors will get extremely hot and must not come in contact with plastic or other wiring.

I have done this upgrade. You have to replace the entire assembly. Be prepared for sticker stock. I found a set on ebay for $1500 for the set shipped. Sold my stocks for around $1,200. My set came in red and got the bezel trim painted foe $80. I made my own harnesses with the inline resistors built in.

Hope this helps.

Yes sir. LED versus HID. Much brighter output and coverage. The net cost was more manageable for me.

The LTZ/High Country headlights are LED as is the signal lower. The signal lower is a second DRL and is color switched for turn signal. The regular lights are HID headlight and incandescent lower amber.

If you just want to get rid of the amber turn signals with out upgrading to the LTZ headlights you can open them up and just clear the amber. They will look something like this.

Would this be just simply removing the amber lens and installing a switchback bulb or something?

The Bulb in LT Lamp is only a turn Signal. The LTZ is a complete LED assembly that has dual function Signal and DRL in a switch back configuration.

I don't know how switchback bulbs function... so can't say what the behavior would be with a switchback bulb only. I would imagine the LTZ lamp has circuitry for the dual function operation.

I had a set of switchbacks installed in my Impala and it just plugged right into the same connector that my regular turn signal plugged into, they were a little longer, so they apparently had some circuitry built inside of them to handle the switching. The operated the exact same as the LTZ signals do.

I would guess so, that is not my truck I just found that truck on Instagram. I believe you won't need switchback bulbs because our turn signals only turn on when we are turning. Our trucks aren't like the GMT900 trucks where the turn signals turn on when the headlights are on. I don't know if it makes sense to you lol.
