Footwell/Running board Lights?

Read all about this in the 1500 forum. Just wondering if there are any 2500/3500HD guys with these mods. Extra led lights for the footwell area like the trucks should have come with. And also adding some Led on the rocker panel to light up the Running board steps when entering in the dark etc.

Let me know or see what you have all done please?

I Dont have amp running boards. Do you know where they tap in for power? And are they only on with the doors open or with the interior lighting as well?

Do a search for Amp running board installation you will find the wiring diagram there.

Lights come on when door is opened just as dome light does. Goes off when door closes as well. Three years and they worked great with no problems.

Yes. I put a red LED in the footwells, For the exterior I added Carr Hoop steps and ran an amber LED into them.

The lights included with my amp kit get spliced onto the step motor harness. They are controlled by the amp step brain that interfaces with the obd2 diagnostic port. It receives data from the truck to be able to tell which door is open and which step to deploy.
